Description
Chimpui, a purple mouse-like alien from Planet Mal, sports pink ears, feet, and tail tip, rarely wearing clothing. Sent to Earth with Wandaryu to secure Eri Kasuga’s marriage to Prince Lulealv, he evolves from a dutiful envoy to Eri’s fiercely loyal protector, often defying his original mission for her sake. His energy relies on ramen, which Eri regularly provides, fueling his flight capability and access to alien tech hidden in his ears—gadgets prone to chaotic mishaps.

Though initially compliant with Wandaryu’s directives, he subtly sabotages plans pressuring Eri, prioritizing her autonomy over obedience. His bond with the 12-year-old tomboy blends playful aerial adventures and shared reliance, strained by clashes when his antics irritate her or echo Wandaryu’s agenda. Interactions with others unveil complexities: a respectful but strained rapport with Wandaryu, refuge sought in Uchiki Shō’s company during disputes with Eri, and a crippling fear of cats triggering brief estrangements.

Across the 56-episode series and 1990 film *Chinpui: Eri-sama Katsudō Daishashin*, his arc traces his transformation from a duty-driven agent to an advocate for personal agency. While future visions hint at Eri’s potential union with the prince, Chimpui insists their destinies remain unwritten, championing self-determination over fate. His growth culminates in countering adversaries like Darusa, solidifying his shift from bystander to proactive defender. No expanded backstory beyond his Mal origins or spin-off developments is documented.
