Description
Chikkun Duck, young prince of the distant planet Star R, travels to Earth to reclaim the stolen Waruchin Encyclopedia. This powerful device materializes anything through holograms and scientific formulas, pilfered by the self-proclaimed villain Dr. Bell.

His spaceship, the Menfo, crash-lands near the home of thirteen-year-old Miko Nanda. Their swift friendship draws Miko and her group, the Kyunkyuns, into an alliance against Dr. Bell’s schemes. Chikkun is accompanied by Takkun Hat, a robotic advisor serving as both guardian and tutor with utility-device capabilities. His royal bodyguard, the large but meek robot Jitabata Mechatan, offers occasional support but remains less prominent in Earth operations.

Chikkun displays a curious, impulsive personality marked by childlike enthusiasm. Despite his royal status and betrothal to Princess Leah of Star R, he develops a crush on Miko, creating minor tension between duty and personal feelings. His Earth interactions emphasize loyalty and protective instincts toward Miko and her friends, balanced by a lighthearted approach to challenges. He confronts recurring opposition from the envious, short-tempered Dr. Bell, whose comical yet persistent invasion attempts drive the conflict.

Character development remains minimal across official media, with core traits—curiosity, impulsiveness, loyalty—staying consistent. The manga initially frames his motivation as planetary exploration, later shifting focus to the Waruchin recovery. The anime adaptation centers solely on the stolen artifact. Occasional rivalry with Andre, a wealthy mockingbird from Star R, adds tension without significant evolution.

His documented appearances are confined to the original 1982–1984 manga and the 23-episode 1984 anime series.
