Her royal blood makes her the key to activating an ancient water-based defense: sitting on the throne before a total solar eclipse would unleash this power to annihilate the occupiers. To thwart this, antagonists abduct her, aiming to delay her return until after the eclipse.

After escaping captivity, she dispatches a distress call through her mechanical bird companion, Speak. The signal reaches three residents of Bosco Forest—Frog, Tutty, and Otter—who rescue her.
