Prof. Torino appears in the story, where he is developing a human-powered airplane. He interacts with Biri-inu and Gari-inu, two members of the dog-like Ken-zoku who have come to the human world. These creatures can fly and understand both human and dog language, and they reside with the Amemori family. Other dogs from the neighborhood join the scene, and the strange commotion that follows is depicted.
