Jun the Swan, designated G-3, is the Science Ninja Team's electronics and demolitions specialist. Her Bird Style draws inspiration from the swan. In civilian life, she operates the Snack J café, a home she shares with her adopted brother, Jinpei. Orphaned young, her past differs across stories. One narrative depicts her losing unknown Japanese and American parents, raised by an aunt until war claimed that aunt around age 8 or 9. Fleeing to the Jupiter Mountains, she discovered the toddler Jinpei, naming him. Both entered the Shirayuki Orphanage under UN care before Dr. Nambu took them in at 13. The 1994 OVA presents her parents as Japanese-English victims of nuclear terrorism. This version sees her joining a motorcycle gang for protection after an early teen assault and working jobs like modeling and ballet; the trauma made her withdrawn and averse to romance. A cancelled Imagi film concept placed her living alone as a bartender in Utoland, with no sibling connection to Jinpei. Her personality blends bravery, independence, and a strong protective drive, especially for Jinpei. She displays motherly care for the team alongside a fun-loving nature. Her expertise includes data analysis, explosives handling, and karate and aikido proficiency. She strategizes calmly under pressure and enjoys motorcycle riding recreationally. Her primary vehicle, the G-3 mecha, is a transformable motorcycle stored aboard the God Phoenix, capable of navigating land, water, and brief flight. Relationships significantly shape her. Her bond with Jinpei mixes affectionate care and sibling rivalry; Jinpei cooks at Snack J due to her lack of culinary skill. She harbors unreciprocated romantic feelings for team leader Ken Washio (G-1), feelings intensifying in *Gatchaman Fighter* where she actively counters his self-sacrificial impulses on missions. Despite hints of deeper mutual feelings, their duties prevent a relationship. Her dynamic with Joe Asakura (G-2) involves conflict and empathy, notably when confronting his cyborg status in *Gatchaman II*. Early series plans intended her to discover Joe's secret first and develop a romantic subplot with him, later abandoned. Her visual design evolves. The original series features dark green hair, green eyes, and a pink-and-white Bird Style uniform. The OVA redesign presents a taller, more physically developed Jun with short brown hair, a modernized "G" emblem on her uniform, and civilian attire including a midriff-baring top and a "3" necklace. Concept art for the cancelled Imagi film experimented with armored pink-and-black uniforms and diverse hairstyles, settling on a short bob inspired by the OVA.
