Aobon, known as the Blue Bomber, stands among the core members of the protagonist team throughout the Bomberman B-Daman Bakugaiden narrative. His quiet brilliance shines in mechanical expertise and technological support, frequently working alongside his grandfather, Professor Gray Bomber, to build, maintain, and repair the team's B-Da Armor mecha units. This vital role sees him constantly utilizing radars, scanners, and computer systems to track enemies or analyze combat data.

Personality-wise, he exhibits sharp intelligence and formal speech, often using the "-desu" suffix in Japanese. He contrasts sharply with his teammates through pronounced timidity, displaying nervous energy, a tendency to get bullied, and a deep fear of ghosts and monsters. Yet, beneath this lies a kind and honest heart, capable of rapid thinking and courageous action when critical situations demand it, reflecting his underlying desire for inner strength. Socially, he experiences acute shyness around girls, harboring a longstanding romantic interest in teammate Akabon since their first meeting.

His constant companion is the B-Daron Rui-Rui, a cheerful and energetic male pink rabbit. Rui-Rui shares Aobon's intellectual curiosity, assisting Professor Gray Bomber and openly enjoying female attention. This dynamic sometimes leads Aobon to don a Rui-Rui costume in comical, though unsuccessful, schemes to gain similar approval.

Aobon's combat capabilities undergo dramatic evolution through his series of B-Da Armors. His initial land-based unit, the Blue Sniper, debuted as the team's second acquired armor. It boasted a retractable targeting system for pinpoint accuracy and long-range attacks, serving as the foundational template for Professor Gray Bomber's later designs. Its signature attack was the "Sniper Shot." This armor met its end alongside other first-generation units during a devastating train wreck. His second armor, the Blue Braver, represented a major leap forward, gaining flight capabilities and refining the targeting/navigation system inherited from the Blue Sniper. Its primary weapon was the "Braver Cannon."

Aobon also piloted his armor in powerful combined mecha formations. His Blue Braver locked into place as a leg component alongside White Bomber's White Blows and Yellow Bomber's Yellow Crusher, forming the mighty Saint Blaster – a combination requiring synchronized resolve from all three pilots. Later, the ultimate Saint Dragon emerged, integrating the Saint Blaster with Black Bomber's Black Devastator. Aobon's Blue Braver again formed part of the leg structure within this final configuration, deployed in the decisive battle against the Dark Emperor to restore peace.

Within the sequel series Bomberman B-Daman Bakugaiden Victory, Aobon continues his role as a member of the B-Da Cops organization, partnering directly with Shirobon (White Bomber). He retains his shy and timid demeanor. However, his reliability consistently shines through as he overcomes these traits to support and rescue teammates during critical missions across their assignments.
