Description
Todd Guinness originates from Upper Earth, specifically America, and is transported to Byston Well alongside Shō Zama and Tokamak Robsky by Drake Luft to serve as an Aura Battler pilot. Initially viewing his summoning as a dream and an escape from his life on Earth, Todd expresses excitement at the prospect of gaining power and potentially becoming a king, leading to a lax attitude and a willingness to serve Drake without question.

His early actions are marked by poor decision-making and a lack of serious commitment to Drake's cause. During initial battles, Todd fails to participate adequately, drawing criticism from his commander, Bern Bunnings. After several defeats and the threat of replacement by Drake, Todd's motivation shifts to fighting for his pride, a change further fueled by a significant defeat from Shō Zama that leaves him bedridden.

Upon recovering and discovering his abandonment by Drake, Todd eagerly accepts an offer from Bishot Hate, seeing it as an opportunity to gain revenge against Shō for his disgrace. When the conflict moves to Upper Earth, his motives evolve again; he fights believing that defeating Shō would prevent Drake from attacking America, allowing him to protect his mother, demonstrating a sense of loyalty and protective instinct toward his family.

Todd pilots several Aura Battlers. He first operates a prototype Dunbine, which is heavily damaged and abandoned early on. He later pilots a recolored Drumlo. For the final stages of the war, the Kingdom of Ku provides him with a custom-built, high-performance Aura Battler called the Wryneck, armed with missile launchers, aura shot cannons, cable talons, daggers, and a sword.

His rivalry with Shō Zama is a central aspect of his arc. Their final battle concludes with Todd's defeat. As he dies, Todd remarks that his experiences in Byston Well were "a nice dream," to which Shō tearfully replies that it was not a dream, underscoring the tragic and cyclical nature of their relationship, which began with Todd punching Shō to convince him Byston Well was real.
