Description
The guards operate as a bandit faction tasked with relentlessly pursuing the protagonists across a desolate continent. Under the command of a deputy commander, they clash violently with the main characters, especially within Azec Sistra—an ancient subterranean city. Driven by greed, the bandits aim to plunder the city’s riches, their reckless excavations unwittingly awakening dormant spirits haunting the ruins.

Known for their aggression, the guards launch ambushes and engage in brutal physical confrontations, including one instance where a member is neutralized by a precise strike to the groin. Their relentless pillaging disturbs the city’s spiritual equilibrium, intensifying hostilities between the protagonists and the vengeful entities stirred by the bandits’ actions.

Though central to escalating conflict between the living and the supernatural, the guards possess minimal narrative development, serving primarily to propel this clash. Their origins, affiliations, and motivations remain unexplored beyond their immediate goal of looting Azec Sistra.

No additional details exist regarding their appearances or roles outside the 1992 film adaptation.
