Doba Ajiba is the supreme military commander of the Buff Clan, holding its highest military rank. He is the father of Harulu and Karala Ajiba. Initially refraining from personal command against the Solo Ship and Ideon, he delegates the task to subordinates including his daughter Harulu, Abadidi Gurimade, and Damido Pechi. After their repeated failures to capture or destroy the Ideon, Doba assumes direct command. He sorties aboard the flagship Bairal Jin, accompanied by Gindoro Jinma, leader of the Ome Foundation. Doba conspires with this political faction to overthrow the Buff Clan emperor.

Doba exhibits extreme ruthlessness towards his daughter Karala following her defection to the Solo Ship. When Karala and the engineer Joliver Ira are captured aboard the Bairal Jin, she reveals her pregnancy with Bes Jordan's child, an Earthling. This revelation triggers violent outrage in Doba, who attempts to kill Karala himself for bringing shame upon the Ajiba family through her interspecies relationship. Karala and Joliver escape amidst the ensuing chaos.

During the final battle against the Solo Ship and Ideon, Doba orders the super-weapon Gando Rowa to fire on the Ideon's position, disregarding the fact that his own flagship, the Bairal Jin, stands directly in the line of fire. This decision to sacrifice his vessel and crew proves fatal. Enraged by his willingness to expend their lives, Doba's own soldiers revolt and kill him. His body is ejected into space after the Ideon breaches the Bairal Jin's bridge.

His collaboration with the Ome Foundation to consolidate power and challenge the emperor underscores his ambition and disregard for traditional Buff Clan hierarchy. His obsession with destroying the Ideon and eliminating Karala drives his actions until his demise.
