Shuuichi Shiratou attends Doumori Elementary School as a student in class 5-3. As the son of owners of one of Doumori's premier restaurants, his affluent background fuels a consistently snobbish and arrogant demeanor. He frequently taunts his homeroom teacher, Nube, targeting the teacher's lack of material possessions and perceived poor culinary taste.

Beneath this elitist attitude, Shuuichi possesses a sincere and deep affection for animals. This compassion manifested when he willingly risked his life to stop an enraged youkai that was once a puppy, revealing an underlying capacity for selflessness.

Shuuichi maintains a strong interest in scientific or alternative explanations for the supernatural, actively exploring topics like aliens and cryptozoology to prove phenomena beyond conventional yōkai. This contrasts with Nube's focus on traditional yōkai and spiritual phenomena. Despite his efforts to assert this scientific perspective, Shuuichi repeatedly finds himself reliant on Nube's intervention and expertise when facing actual supernatural threats.

Within the class dynamic, Shuuichi primarily serves as a foil to Nube and his classmates, his skepticism and privileged outlook highlighting themes of class disparity and differing approaches to understanding the unknown.
