Description
Alberto Botchini is the father of Enrico and Nino Bottini. In his childhood, Alberto was mischievous and frequently pulled pranks on fellow students and teachers. This contrasts with his son Enrico's more meek and mild-mannered nature. As an adult living with his family in 19th-century Turin, Italy, Alberto visits his former headmaster, Vincenzo Crosetti, who suffers from Alzheimer's disease. Despite his memory loss, Crosetti recognizes Enrico due to a strong resemblance to Alberto's younger self. Alberto also reads newspaper stories about local families in poverty and takes initiative to provide them assistance. His character background is revealed through interactions with his sons and his visit to the headmaster, illustrating his development from a mischievous child to a caring father engaged in his community.
