Ilya, sometimes called Rike, is a young knight-in-training who leaves his fiancée behind to embark on a final quest to find a dragon. He arrives at a village where he forges an immediate bond with Karisu, a blonde-haired resident known for her fiery spirit. Soon after, demons ravage Karisu's village, killing her aunt. This attack brings the conflict directly to Ilya, spurring his return to his homeland.
