Description
Glaucos rules as the God of Water and sovereign of the Sea Kingdom. He once coexisted peacefully with Themis, Goddess of Fire, until Argon, Lord of Winds, sowed mutual distrust through deceit. This manipulation ignited a catastrophic war between their elemental realms, nearly annihilating both. The highest god intervened, stripped Argon of his power-imparting eye, and imprisoned him in the ocean's abyss. Entrusted with maintaining oceanic calm, Glaucos received custody of Argon's eye, while Themis established the Holy Flame to protect her domain. This event severed water and fire permanently; Glaucos enforced strict laws prohibiting any interaction between their peoples.

As ruler, Glaucos designated his son Sirius as heir, charging him with guarding Argon's eye, the symbol of sea kingship. He rigorously upheld the laws segregating water and fire, viewing fraternization as treason. Discovering the romance between Sirius and Malta, Themis's daughter, Glaucos imprisoned his son for betraying their people and defying divine law. He confronted Themis during the lovers' escape attempt, reinforcing their ancient enmity. Appeals to compassion left Glaucos unmoved, prioritizing tradition and security over his son's happiness.

His rigidity unleashed tragic consequences. Glaucos battled the freed Argon after the eye was stolen, ultimately defeating him. Yet his younger son, Teak, perished during the conflict while trying to retrieve the eye. Sirius later died from sunlight exposure while seeking Malta. Witnessing these losses and the lovers' mutual sacrifice triggered Glaucos's profound realization. He acknowledged his unwavering adherence to ancient divisions, fueled by lingering resentment toward Themis, had directly caused his children's suffering and deaths. In redemption, Glaucos transcended his former rigidity, uniting Sirius and Malta in death. He transformed their spirits into a celestial constellation, symbolizing restored harmony between fire and water, granting them the eternal union denied in life.
