Murmo is the younger brother of the fairy protagonist Mirumo, sharing origins in their fairy kingdom. Initially, he joins the chase after Mirumo flees an arranged marriage with Princess Rima, pursuing him into the human world. His personal trials include a troublesome decayed tooth demanding urgent care, and he encounters a rival fairy named Papi, revealing interpersonal conflicts. Murmo engages in pivotal events across both worlds, fighting the Warumo Gang's reckless time-magic experiments that freeze the fairy realm. He aids in restoring balance through an ancient ritual requiring a magical door and a time bird. Later, he collaborates to gather seven emotion-based crystals for a robotic octopus, Tako, to save its homeland, and helps develop combined magic techniques against Darkman—a being spawned from negative emotions. Throughout the series, Murmo evolves from a pursuer to a cooperative ally, resolving crises spanning fairy and human realms.
