Description
Ryo-Ohki serves as the primary advisor and companion to Sasami Kawai after she becomes the magical girl Pretty Sammy. Hailing from the magical kingdom of Juraihelm, he was assigned by Tsunami to guide Sasami in her duties, helping maintain the balance between good and evil on Earth. This male iteration possesses full speech capability, unlike other versions of the character. He typically appears as a cabbit, a cat-rabbit hybrid.
Ryo-Ohki demonstrates extensive knowledge of magical mechanics and frequently explains Pretty Sammy's abilities, though his descriptions sometimes border on the nonsensical or exaggerate trivial traits. He remains fiercely loyal and supportive, offering tactical advice when facing adversaries like Pixy Misa and the Love-Love Monsters.
Late in the series, Ryo-Ohki gains the temporary ability to transform into a human boy. In this form, he continues his supportive role but encounters new challenges adapting to his altered physiology.
Within the "Bonus Theatre" specials, Ryo-Ohki displays unexpected familiarity with the Kawai residence, revealing a previously unknown basement and a butler named Alfred. He also initiates surreal sequences involving a "Sammy-Mobile" and a "Sammy Signal," showcasing moments of unpredictability beyond his advisory role.
For the unreleased "Sasami 14" sequel project, Ryo-Ohki would have returned essentially unchanged, maintaining his fondness for carrots and his role as Pretty Sammy's companion, with no other significant developments planned.
