Mukōda Tsuyoshi, a 27-year-old Japanese salaryman from rural Japan, once worked as a part-time cook during his studies. While commuting home, he became entangled in a hero-summoning ritual alongside three high school students, transporting them all to the Reijseger Kingdom—also known as Rayseger Kingdom—in a fantasy realm. His status screen displayed only basic skills: Appraisal and Item Box, plus the unique skill Net Supermarket, granting access to a modern Japanese online marketplace. Judged combat-ineffective compared to the students’ powers, the kingdom’s opulent and suspicious royal family dismissed him; he distrusted them for their lavish attire and apparent corruption. Initially conflict-averse and timid, he secured his freedom and departed, hiring the adventurer group Iron Will as escorts. During travel, he encountered the legendary Fenrir, Fel, who demanded a familiar contract after being lured by Mukōda’s cooking—enhanced by Net Supermarket ingredients. This pact compelled Mukōda to join both Merchant’s and Adventurer’s Guilds to finance Fel’s ravenous meat consumption. His modern-Japanese-ingredient dishes proved unexpectedly potent in this world, conferring temporary stat boosts and drawing divine notice. He later contracted additional familiars: Sui, a slime that evolved into an acid-shooting Huge Slime; Dora-chan, a Pixie Dragon enticed by custard pudding; and Gonji (accidentally nicknamed "Old Man Gon"), an Ancient Dragon and Fel’s rival. These contracts elevated his adventurer rank from G to S, with familiars handling combat while he managed logistics via Item Box. Divine blessings expanded his abilities: minor deities like Ninrir (Goddess of Wind), Agni (Goddess of Fire), and Kisharle (Goddess of Earth) enhanced his resistances and magic in exchange for otherworldly cuisine, beauty products, and alcohol. Demiurge’s blessing extended his lifespan, while Complete Defense granted near-invulnerability. Financially cautious early on—fearing bandit attention over modest sums—he amassed wealth via monster materials and high-value quests, exceeding 100,000 gold coins. He redirected funds to orphanages and churches, shifting from survival to philanthropy. Purchasing a mansion in Karerina Town, he employed fourteen slaves for its management, establishing a permanent base. His personality evolved: remaining non-confrontational, he grew confident enough to scold familiars and bargain with deities. He briefly developed feelings for the elf Feodora but withdrew upon learning she had five children and a grandchild. An alternate storyline (IF Route) depicts him persuading the three summoned students to flee with him to the Kingdom of Elman. There, he supported them as adventurers and a merchant, leveraging their combined skills for success. Physically, he transitioned from corporate attire to practical gear: a dark green shirt, leather boots, and a belted sheath. Culinary expertise remained central to his identity, while combat abilities improved through Fire and Earth magic training and stat-boosting meals—though his naming sense stayed notoriously poor.
