Description
Amane Suzuki is a gentle, sincere, and reliable second-grade student living with her extended family in rural Murakawa village. Her cousin Natsuki Koyama recently moved in, and Amane's responsible nature sometimes clashes with Natsuki's energetic personality, creating initial friction. Though they were once close, Amane perceived changes in Natsuki as arrogance and laziness. She blamed Natsuki for the escape of her beloved pet rabbit, Pyon-Kichi, fueling frustration and sparking a competitive streak where Amane constantly tried to outperform her older cousin. She insisted on not being treated like a young child.

During a summer camp search for Pyon-Kichi in a cornfield, Amane discovered an injured dog-like creature she initially mistook for her rabbit. This creature, revealed as the alien Pochi Rickman, was rescued thanks to Amane's kindness. Her subsequent journey into space led to peril. Confronting the antagonist Neppo on planet Wan, Amane found herself captured alongside the valuable Zughan root when the Pet Star's tractor beams activated.

This kidnapping forced Natsuki into a decisive rescue. Witnessing Natsuki's bravery and learning the truth – that Neppo's henchmen, not Natsuki, took Pyon-Kichi – became pivotal. This revelation dissolved Amane's lingering resentment, allowing full reconciliation with her cousin.

Throughout the adventure, Amane's genuine affection for animals, especially Pyon-Kichi, remained constant. While she insisted on maturity, the events highlighted her underlying vulnerability as a young child. The galactic journey facilitated her emotional growth, resolving the conflict with Natsuki and restoring their familial bond through shared adversity.
