TV-Series
Description
Omotchama, a small dice-shaped robot created by Gan Takada, functions as the mascot for his father's toy shop. Its name derives from the Japanese word "omocha," meaning toy. The robot displays three cogs on its face: two grey ones as eyes and a red one as a mouth. It features retractable limbs and a propeller for flight, requiring periodic battery recharges. A distinctive speech pattern includes ending sentences with "-da-koron."

Initially discovering the Doronbo gang's pursuit of the Skull Stone, Omotchama monitored their activities independently or alongside Gan and Ai, occasionally disrupting their schemes—sometimes escalating risks. It also announced episode titles and previews in the original 1977 series. When multiple combat mechas became available, Omotchama determined deployments through random methods: rolled like a die in a cup early on, later orchestrating musical chairs games with robot representatives (Gu-ko, Choki-ko, Pa-ko), and finally employing a matchmaking duck that navigated paths to mecha-designated doors.

In the Royal Revival OVA, Omotchama continued surveillance, alerting the now-married heroes to Doronbo's plans. Their preoccupation delayed responses, and during a mission, Omotchama was crushed by Jun the Swan due to the couple's distraction.

The 2009 live-action film depicted Omotchama with a more intricate mechanical design, showcasing exposed inner gears and a partially obscured mouth cog. There, it analyzed Skull Stone fragments, uncovering their destructive potential—revealing a complete stone could tear reality apart. During data transmission, the stone's energy caused Omotchama to vanish. Rescued from a dimensional vortex by the heroes, its findings proved essential to destroying the artifact and reversing damage.

In video games, Omotchama spied on antagonists in Banpresto titles and appeared as an enemy in shoot-em-ups. For Tatsunoko vs. Capcom, it appeared in background scenes within the heroes' workshop, chasing intruders. In Ultimate All-Stars, Yatterman-2 could summon it for temporary combat assistance, and it performed victory poses if active at match conclusions.

Personality-wise, Omotchama exhibits childlike enthusiasm and occasional cheekiness. Dedicated to fighting crime and supporting heroes, it openly questions some of their decisions and teases them about their romantic relationship.
