Description
Yahiro Saiga is a 16-year-old male with pink hair, brown eyes, and a height of 173 cm, born on July 7. Heir to the Saiga Financial Group, a conglomerate surpassing even the Takishima family in status, he has a younger brother, Chitose Saiga, and a girlfriend, Megumi Yamamoto.

Isolated in childhood due to his aloof and hurtful demeanor, Yahiro overheard a friend admit to maintaining their bond solely for financial gain. This cemented his deep-seated distrust of those outside his social class and disdain for perceived exploitation. His solitude ended upon befriending Kei Takishima and Akira Toudou, with whom he formed a fierce attachment. When he discovered Akira’s friend Sayo exploiting her for wealth, he threatened Sayo’s family to force her departure, deliberately casting himself as the villain to shield Akira from betrayal. Unaware of his motives, Akira severed ties.

Expelled from Hakusenkan Academy by Sumire Karino, Yahiro transferred to Kokusen Academy. He remained solitary until collaborating with Sakura to rescue a rabbit, sparking an unexpected friendship. Despite estrangement from Akira, he monitored her well-being and intervened when suspecting new acquaintances like Yui Oikawa of ulterior motives. After rescuing Yui from a near-accident and confronting her about stealing Akira’s jewels, Akira misinterpreted his actions until the truth emerged.

His romantic path shifted when Megumi Yamamoto proposed a mock date to protect Tadashi and Akira’s relationship. Initially dismissive and tormenting her, Yahiro displayed unexpected kindness after learning her muteness stemmed from preserving her voice for singing. He provided a drawing board for communication, sparking mutual affection. Though acknowledging her initial motives, he offered genuine friendship. Megumi’s heartfelt singing deepened their bond; Yahiro claimed to dislike the date but smiled contradictorily.

In the anime, their relationship progressed as Yahiro supported Megumi’s singing during a critical mission and shared physical closeness. The manga depicted slower development: Yahiro pretended to be Megumi’s boyfriend for her mother, defended her from critics during a performance, and rejected her confession, citing unresolved feelings for Akira and uncertainty about love. Yet he later intervened physically when men harassed her at a concert, managed her singing career, expressed happiness hearing her sing, and planned future outings.

Throughout the series, Yahiro aided the main group in crises, using his helicopter to rescue Hikari. He relinquished his feelings for Akira, advising Tadashi to cherish her. Evolving from an isolated cynic, he embraced vulnerability and genuine connection, particularly through his bond with Megumi.
