Description
Minamoto no Kurou Yoshitsune, called Kurou, commands the Genji army as a general and bears the title of Chi no Seiryū (Earth Azure Dragon). Inspired by the historical figure of Minamoto no Yoshitsune, his narrative adaptation retains core traits while weaving into the story’s framework. Born on November 9 under the Wood element, he stands 179 cm tall. He initially resists protagonist Nozomi’s involvement in combat, rooted in traditional beliefs that women should avoid battlefield peril. This perspective evolves when Nozomi proves her skill, compelling him to acknowledge her as a trusted ally.

Kurou’s blunt manner frequently causes friction, yet his deeds consistently mask a profound commitment to safeguarding subordinates and allies. His steadfast loyalty centers on his elder brother, Minamoto no Yoritomo, driving relentless dedication to the Genji clan’s ascendancy. This fervor fuels his tireless strategizing and leadership during pivotal conflicts like the Genpei War, where his tactical brilliance shapes the war’s course.

His dynamic with Benkei, both confidant and tactician, mirrors a partnership forged in mutual respect, echoing their fabled duel at Gojō Bridge—a moment intertwined with the series’ recurring moon motifs. Expanded media, such as the *Izayoiki* expansion, introduces gameplay enabling players to unlock divergent narrative paths and character-driven endings. Optional interactions let players strengthen bonds with Kurou through side events and strategic decisions, though his core arc remains anchored in loyalty to Genji and his evolution as a commander.

Consistent across adaptations, his design bridges historical authenticity with the series’ fantastical elements, blending period-inspired aesthetics with supernatural lore tied to his role as Chi no Seiryū.
