Taeko Komatsubara is a first-year tenth grader at Kashima School. She has orange hair, amber eyes, and a youthful appearance fitting her age. Her typical outfit consists of a jacket, shirt, and skirt, and she is often seen carrying a bag.

Her personality bursts with exaggerated cheerfulness and high energy. An airhead with deredere traits, she displays intense, genuine affection toward others. She is notably clumsy, emotionally sensitive, and quick to cry over minor incidents. Her behavior shows immaturity and a tendency to speak about herself in the third person. Though labeled an "idiot" due to lacking common sense, she is fundamentally kind and friendly. Once committed to a goal, she pursues it with direct, unwavering focus.

She serves as a kouhai to Kasuga Serina, though their relationship starts strained. Taeko accidentally befriends Serina through Yukinojou, and her childish demeanor frequently irritates Serina. She is also a member of the "Kasuga Independent Gang," associated with Serina.

Her hobbies include cooking. She appears as a main character in the visual novel *Ashita no Yukinojou* and as a side character in its sequel, *Masaru: Ashita no Yukinojou 2*.
