Description
Peorth is a First Class Goddess, Second Category, Unlimited License working for the Earth Assistance Hotline, a rival to Belldandy's Goddess Relief Office. Her involvement begins when Keiichi Morisato accidentally contacts her agency instead of Belldandy's, leading her to his residence. Discovering Keiichi lives with three goddesses, she assumes Belldandy failed to fulfill his deepest desires and resolves to address them herself, interpreting his needs as sexual. This results in repeated, unsuccessful attempts to seduce Keiichi.

Peorth harbors a significant grudge against Belldandy from a past incident where they debugged a Yggdrasil subsystem. Peorth became infected by the bug and lost consciousness; Belldandy purged it and filed their report as a joint effort. Misinterpreting this as pity, Peorth feels Belldandy mocked her competence, fueling her antagonism. The conflict escalates when Peorth challenges Belldandy to a "triple goddess challenge," wagering Urd and Skuld's servitude upon Belldandy’s loss. After her defeat, Peorth explains her resentment, and Belldandy clarifies she only located the bug during its attack on Peorth’s system, necessitating the joint report. This resolves the misunderstanding, significantly improving Peorth’s attitude.

Following this reconciliation, Peorth aids Keiichi and Belldandy in confessing their mutual feelings. She departs afterward but later returns to reside at the Tariki Hongan Temple for extended periods, participating in adventures and communal activities. Her personality exhibits contrasts: she typically speaks formally and dignifiedly but shifts to blunt, direct speech when annoyed or flustered. Despite projecting confidence in romance, she relies heavily on shoujo manga for dating guidance and frequently misinterprets romantic cues, revealing naivety beneath her poise. Her vanity and pride regarding her professional capabilities diminish over time, replaced by greater maturity and camaraderie with Urd and Skuld.

Visually, Peorth has dark brown hair styled asymmetrically with short layers and a long ponytail, brown eyes, and distinctive diamond-shaped forehead markings. Her attire typically consists of a form-fitting bikini adorned with decorative belts, though her initial manga appearance featured more conservative clothing. Her elemental magic centers on roses and thorned vines, used in utility spells and combat. She summons the angel Gorgeous Rose, whose unique design features a body wrapped in thorny vines rather than fabric, reflecting Peorth’s plant-based powers. Gorgeous Rose demonstrates fierce loyalty, shielding Peorth from harm at personal cost.

In "Tatakau Tsubasa," Peorth appears during a tea party scene with other goddesses and their angels but plays a minimal role in the primary conflict involving the Angel-Eater demon. Mythologically, her name derives from the Peorth rune (ᛈ), symbolizing mystery or the unknown due to its ambiguous historical meaning; this rune also represents misplaced trust, aligning thematically with her initial grudge against Belldandy. Her ongoing development includes recurring residencies at the temple and participation in key narrative arcs, culminating in her presence during the series finale.

Her background includes an affinity for pastries and a habit of collecting Skuld’s shoujo manga during her first stay. Temporary de-aging during one storyline causes uncharacteristic shyness about her revealing attire, contrasting with her usual confidence. These nuances contribute to a multifaceted character who evolves from a competitive rival to an integrated, albeit occasionally mischievous, member of the temple’s extended family.
