Description
Hideyoshi Tanaka, a homeless orphan approximately 14 to 15 years old, survives hustling adults in basketball games on the streets of near-future New York City, utilizing his exceptional athletic skills and superhuman speed. This speed leads to his recruitment for the Earth All-Star basketball team, formed to compete in an intergalactic league against physically superior alien species and reclaim human prominence in the sport.

During practices and games, he suffers paralyzing migraines. Teammate DT, a former Goran, later reveals these are symptoms of physical changes tied to Hideyoshi's heritage: he is half-Goran. The migraines coincide with the growth of horns on his head, explaining his extraordinary capabilities and mysterious origins.

Hideyoshi's sole connection to his unknown parents is a wristband made of unique elastic material found exclusively on the planet Goru, which he wears constantly as a memento, underscoring his orphan status and quest for identity.

Within the Earth team, he develops a friendly rivalry with team captain DT, Earth's best point guard, mirroring classic sports rivalries focused on mutual growth and competition. His journey involves adapting from a solitary street life to team dynamics while confronting the implications of his half-alien physiology on representing humanity.

His character arc centers on navigating his dual identity as a human representative and half-Goran, contributing to the team's efforts in the intergalactic tournament. The discovery of his heritage adds complexity to the mission of proving human capability.
