Description
Minatsu Amakase, designated HM-A06, is an android created by Professor Amakase. Her name fuses the Japanese words for "beautiful" and "summer." Developed amidst public controversy over humanoid robots, she entered suspended animation beneath Kazami Academy's principal office to await a more tolerant era. Decades later, Yoshiyuki Sakurai accidentally awakened her, triggering her deep-seated resentment toward humanity, whom she viewed as oppressors of robots. Despite this animosity, she enrolled at Kazami Academy under Yoshiyuki's supervision, her robotic nature concealed.
Physically petite at 151 cm with a slim build, she presents as a teenager featuring blue hair, blue eyes, pale skin, and a distinctive fang. Her attire typically includes school uniforms, sportswear, scarves, thigh-high stockings, and animal-eared accessories. She requires periodic winding via a key inserted into her back for her spring-based power source, a process inducing sensations analogous to human arousal. She also depends on "Bananamin," a nutrient found exclusively in bananas, consuming it every eight hours to function. Ironically, despite this dependence, she initially expressed intense dislike for bananas and avoided them.
Her early behavior exhibited caution, vindictiveness, and a third-person speech pattern. She maintained a ledger of human observations, displaying childlike naivety alongside violent outbursts. While broadly distrusting humans, she formed genuine friendships with Yume Asakura and Anzu Yukimura. Exposure of her robotic identity led to widespread wariness and eventual expulsion. However, the student body petitioned for her attendance at a graduation ceremony, where she expressed gratitude for their acceptance.
In her visual novel storyline, she chose to return to hibernation, hoping for improved human-robot relations. Reawakening over two years later during a trial integration program, she attended school openly as a robot. By the events of Da Capo III, set 20 years later, she manages the Amakase Detective Agency alongside Yuzu Kohinata. In this era, she exhibits rich emotional expressions and openly enjoys bananas.
