Description
Zenigame inexplicably awakens in the Pokémon world transformed into a Squirtle, stripped of memory or explanation for this forced change. Initial discovery of his new form sparks disorientation and panic. He gradually adapts to certain physical realities of being a Squirtle, learning to maneuver through water despite an early fear of drowning. However, mastering Pokémon abilities proves a significant struggle, particularly controlling Water Gun; early attempts yield only aesthetically pleasing, yet combat-ineffective, Bubble.
Recruited immediately into the pre-existing Team Go-Getters by Charmander and Chikorita, he accepts his role despite lingering confusion about his human origins, which other Pokémon dismiss or doubt. During the mission to rescue Pikachu from Skarmory in Sinister Cave, his lack of experience surfaces through unfamiliarity with rescue teams, dungeon exploration, and item usage. He displays compassion, insisting the team share their last Oran Berry with the injured rival Team Meanies member Gengar, emphasizing Pokémon solidarity.
While teammates tackle environmental hazards like rock obstacles and Shroomish, he contributes offensively with Bubble. A pivotal development occurs in the final confrontation with Skarmory: accidentally consuming a Quick Seed kicked by the captive Pikachu grants him temporary enhanced speed. This agility enables him to land a decisive blow with a Corsola Twig, followed immediately by his first successful execution of Water Gun alongside teammates' attacks, defeating Skarmory. This mastery signifies a significant step in accepting his capabilities as a Pokémon.
By the mission's conclusion, despite unresolved questions about his transformation and human past, he consciously commits to his new life, remaining with Team Go-Getters as a full member dedicated to rescue work and further skill development.
