Description
Execution Division Master No. 658, nicknamed "Conviction," is a veteran Kansai Police Execution Division officer known for his merciless efficiency in dispatching targets. An early career battle against a powerful criminal scarred his left cheek, inflicted during a moment of reckless immersion that resulted in his mentor's death. This scar later serves as a physical manifestation of his reversion to that dangerous mindset under duress.

He maintains a calm, collected demeanor at crime scenes, masking a strong personal sense of justice. His near-arrogant confidence stems from vast experience and proven capability. As mentor to the Execution Division Apprentice for roughly two years, he maintains a strictly professional relationship. He frequently challenges her to operate solo and critiques her performance, yet consistently intervenes to prevent serious harm, revealing an underlying investment in her growth despite his stern methods.

Standing 190 cm tall (the series' second-tallest character), he wears a white military uniform and conceals the lower face with a black bandana mask. Notable features include grey-blue eyes and grey hair, styled with a long bang covering the right side of his face. He typically carries an energy sword on his left hip outside combat.

His exceptional combat abilities focus on martial arts, surpassing all others including the Brawler and his apprentice. Possessing top-tier reflexes and unshakeable tactical composure under pressure, he dominates opponents when fully committed, cementing his reputation as a formidable enforcer.

Sustaining injuries during a Shinkansen confrontation leads to hospitalization alongside his apprentice. He departs unauthorized to pursue the Akudama alone, culminating in a final battle against the Brawler where he suffers mortal wounds. With his dying breath, he instructs his apprentice to "live on," profoundly impacting her future actions and perspective.

Within the Execution Division hierarchy, he reports to the Boss, commanding the elimination of high-profile criminals. While usually advocating obedience to her orders, his unsanctioned final mission demonstrates a capacity for independent action. His apprentice inherits his teachings and weapon, continuing his legacy.

Additional details include a seventh-place ranking in a December 2020 popularity poll and the occasional use of "High Executioner" on officially licensed merchandise. A Q&A session further clarified the scar's origin and its connection to his behavioral reversion during intense combat.
