TV-Series
Description
Naomi Yumehara, alias Cure Dream, attends L'École des Cinq Lumières as a middle schooler. Initially directionless and lacking standout talents, she flits between interests and faces academic struggles. Her appearance features round dark mauve eyes and straight dark magenta shoulder-length hair, typically worn down with small sections pulled into pigtails secured by yellow bobbles. Casual wear includes pink floral print tops, dark indigo pants, and brown flats; summer outfits shift to scalloped tops with frilly details paired with blue skirts.

Her path shifts dramatically upon meeting Coco, a fairy from the Palmier Kingdom, in the school library. Witnessing his dedication to restoring his kingdom and confronting Nightmare agents sparks her resolve to assist. She declares "It’s decided!" – her signature catchphrase. A pink butterfly bestows the Pinky Catch, enabling her transformation into Cure Dream, the Pretty Cure of Hope. As Cure Dream, her eyes brighten significantly and her hair transforms into neon pink, extending to her navel with curled ends, held by yellow swallowtail butterfly-shaped clips. Her costume is a pale cream and fuchsia two-piece crop top and skirt, complemented by matching fingerless gloves, dark fuchsia shorts, and magenta boots. A pink swallowtail butterfly bow with a green brooch adorns her chest, embodying her theme color.

In battle as Cure Dream, she exhibits heightened seriousness and physical strength. Her primary attacks harness earth and crystal elements: Crystal Shoot in the first season, evolving to Shooting Star in the sequel. She ascends to Super Cure Dream, gaining additional ruffles, sharper clips, and large pink butterfly wings. Further evolution brings Shining Dream, marked by feather-like white accessories and angelic wings. Her ultimate form, Rainbow Cure Dream, retains Shining Dream's look but adds smaller gold wings. Dream Cure Grace features longer hair with lighter gradients, butterfly-shaped ribbons adorned with green leaves, and a white dress showcasing butterfly-winged skirt designs.

Optimistic, energetic, and deeply compassionate, Naomi frequently extends friendship even to adversaries. She balances this with notable clumsiness, distractibility (especially concerning food), and academic difficulties. Despite these traits, Cure Dream reveals surprising willpower. Her relationships include a lifelong bond with best friend Rin Natsuki and mentorship from Coco that deepens into mutual romantic feelings, culminating in marriage. She also forges strong connections with teammates Urara Kasugano, Komachi Akimoto, and Karen Minazuki, plus her student Rumi Katagiri.

Her core development centers on discovering her dream: inspired by Coco’s teaching, she pursues education. By adulthood, she serves as a dedicated teacher at Plaisir Academy, guiding students like Rumi. When the Shadows menace the world, she reactivates her Cure powers despite severe physical tolls, including fainting spells and a week-long coma post-battle. Her leadership proves central, earning unanimous selection for uniting the Cures.

Family includes father Tsutomu Yumehara, a children's book author prone to late-night work, and mother Megumi, who runs a beauty salon. They reside in a European-inspired city, with her father appearing occasionally and her mother referenced in daily routines. Her surname combines "Yume" (dream) and "hara" (field), reflecting her alter ego, while her given name "Nozomi" signifies "wish" or "hope".
