Kyo Takamimori attends junior high alongside Sunao Moriyama as a classmate and shares a close friendship with Mikan Natsu. Her tomboyish nature pairs with notable athleticism, complemented by culinary talents focused on sweets—a skill pivotal to her bond with the creature Guchuko.

Kyo first encountered Guchuko when it emerged near the school park during art class, promptly naming it after its favorite chocolate balls ("guchu") combined with the feminine suffix "-ko." She routinely feeds Guchuko at school and home, earning its trust. In gratitude, Guchuko leaves animal carcasses like pigs or cows near Kyo’s residence.

Living with her parents, Kyo observes her mother’s comically futile attempts to coax Guchuko indoors. The creature instead sleeps in a tree outside, displaying peculiar habits such as breaking through doors with its scythe before repairing them. Kyo stands among the few who physically handle Guchuko, having aided it when trapped in a bush and once while believing it deceased.

During school festivals, Kyo cross-dresses as a butler for her class’s café, drawing admiration including photo requests from classmates. Within group dynamics, she supports Mikan’s interactions with Sunao while navigating her unique relationship with Guchuko.
