Description
Prince Ismir, crown prince of the Hittite Kingdom in present-day Turkey, enters the narrative consumed by grief over his younger sister Mitamun. Imprisoned and killed in Egypt due to Princess Isis's jealousy, Mitamun's death drives Ismir to seek vengeance against Pharaoh Memphis. Disguising himself as a Palestinian merchant, he travels secretly to Egypt. His plans shift dramatically upon encountering Carol Reed, a time-traveler from modern America, with whom he experiences profound love at first sight.

Renowned within the Hittite army for exceptional military prowess, strategic intellect, and leadership, Ismir commands respect as both a valiant warrior and cunning tactician. During his covert Egyptian mission, he tasks his loyal subordinate Ruka with a dual role: acting as Carol's undercover protector and facilitating her eventual journey to the Hittite Kingdom, where Ismir desires her presence. A close friendship blossoms between Carol and Ruka during this protection.

Ismir's deep affection for Carol rivals that of Pharaoh Memphis, igniting geopolitical tensions between the Hittite Empire, Egypt, Assyria, and Babylonia. His actions blend personal loyalty, political ambition, and familial duty. The conflict over Carol's allegiance and the enduring bitterness from his sister's death position him as a pivotal figure in the power struggles among these ancient kingdoms.
