Description
Fumiki Mizutani plays left field for the Nishiura High School baseball team. His baseball abilities lag behind his teammates, sometimes causing him to fumble catches during games. This earned him the nickname "Kuso Left" (Crappy Left) from catcher Takaya Abe. At the plate, Mizutani depends more on luck than skill, openly acknowledging his poor pitch recognition. He constantly battles insecurity about his starting position, aware reserve player Shintarō Nishihiro could replace him.
Mizutani possesses an easy-going and friendly personality, deemed approachable by team manager Chiyo Shino'oka. He enjoys talking to girls and describes himself as a bit of a flirt. Despite this friendliness, he displays klutzy and dorky tendencies, often complimenting other players on their physical flexibility.
