Description
D, alias Administratorin, is an enigmatic high-ranking god overseeing the world's System where reincarnated characters exist. Her true nature and motives remain largely hidden, though she claims existence from the universe's beginning until its end. Previously the "Manager of the Underworld" governing reincarnation, she grew weary and devised an escape.
Adopting the alias Hiiro Wakaba, a seemingly ordinary Earth high school student, D excised part of her soul containing these memories, implanting it into a classroom spider. This action indirectly caused the explosion that killed her entire class, triggered by an interdimensional attack from the previous Demon Lord and Hero targeting her. D collected the students' souls, equipped them with the "n% I = W" skill for level-based regeneration, and reincarnated them into species matching their soul's wavelength, granting each a custom skill based on her perception of them.
Appearance-wise, D typically conceals her identity, appearing early on as a shadowy female figure with a devilish grin. Later depictions reveal her resembling a high school girl with waist-length straight black hair, multi-colored eyes (black, gold, red), and a school uniform with glasses. To the angelic administrator Sariel, she appears as a nearly adult girl with an expressionless face evoking "bottomless darkness."
D's personality centers on seeking personal amusement above all else. She self-identifies as "malice incarnate" and the "Ultimate evil god," openly admitting entertainment from observing others' suffering. This sadism manifests in her complex design of the planet-scale System enabling skills and magic, intentionally prolonged despite having power to restore the planet instantly. She particularly delights in watching Kumoko's near-death struggles.
Her involvement includes creating the System at fellow administrator Güliedistodiez's (Gülie) request, enabling inhabitants to restore their dying planet by generating energy through conflict and death. The System collects soul energy upon death to revitalize the planet, enforcing a limited reincarnation cycle confined to that world. D authored the Administrator's Proclamation, delivered by Gülie, condemning humanity for sacrificing Sariel and mandating endless fighting as atonement.
Relationships reflect D's capriciousness:
- She shows twisted fondness for Kumoko, offering minor assists like the Wisdom skill or Champion title while simultaneously engineering obstacles for entertainment.
- She views Gülie as an acquaintance and subordinate, assigning him System maintenance while disregarding his frustrations over her interference.
- She harbors personal disdain for Sariel, dismissing angels as "muscle-heads," and punishes reincarnations like Feirune (reincarnated as a Wyrm) for mistreating her Wakaba persona.
D's abilities position her as the series' most powerful entity. She possesses godlike stats exceeding System limits (~150,000) when enhancing herself with conjuring, though her physical form is otherwise ordinary. Key powers include creating and altering the System, skills, titles, and administrative privileges; crafting artifacts like the Hero Sword and Demon Lord Sword or upgrading existing items (e.g., Shiraori's scythe); manipulating space to communicate across dimensions via summoned smartphones and creating dimensions; controlling souls for reincarnation or revival, though she considers revival "a hassle"; resisting anti-System barriers, reversing time to heal injuries, and surviving god-killing weapons through instantaneous regeneration; exhibiting near-omniscient predictive intelligence and halting time during telepathic communications.
Her influence persists through indirect manipulation, breaking her self-imposed non-interference policy for greater amusement. She orchestrates pivotal events, such as enabling Kumoko's evolution into a unique Zana Horowa, remaining an inscrutable force whose actions blend malice and whimsical assistance.
