Shiryu Chou'un is an 18-year-old female fighter attending Seito Academy, born August 4th under the Leo sign. She holds the prestigious title of Special A-Rank fighter and stands as one of Seito's formidable "Five Tiger Generals" alongside Unchou Kan-u, Ekitoku Chouhi, Bachou Mouki, and Kouchuu Kanshou. Distinguished by long silver hair covering her ears and typically closed eyes, she stands 170 cm tall with measurements of 89-59-87. Her signature attire features a brown vest over a white collared striped shirt, a dark brown skirt with red stripes, knee-high black socks, and brown loafers—a deliberate departure from Seito's standard uniform. When her eyes open in combat, they reveal cat-like pupils, reminiscent of characters harboring controlled dragon spirits. A tiger tattoo manifests on her left shoulder blade in certain scenes. In battle, she wields the Youtou Muramasa "Zanryuu" sword and executes the "Shiden Issen" technique with unmatched proficiency. Regarded as Seito's secret weapon, she demonstrates exceptional fighting capabilities, defeating powerful opponents like Kakouen Myosai and Teni with startling efficiency, often while keeping her eyes closed. Despite her prowess, she firmly believes violence is unnecessary and advocates resolving conflicts without bloodshed. Her personality blends a laid-back demeanor with fierce loyalty to Seito Academy and Koumei Shokatsuryou, following orders without question. She explicitly states willingness to die protecting Seito's leader, Gentoku Ryuubi, with implied romantic feelings suggested during ending sequences where she blushes while holding Gentoku. She maintains deep respect for Kan-u Unchou while acknowledging their rival strengths. Within the Dragon Destiny storyline, she acts on Koumei's orders to secure the Dragon Jade. After defeating an exhausted Teni and confronting Ryomou Shimei (whose dragon activated due to the jade), she delivers Ryomou to Hakufu's residence before giving the jade to Kan-u. She later intervenes when Hakufu's dragon appears out of control, though stopped by Ukitsu. Outside combat, she engages in activities like miniature tree care, displaying disappointment when over-trimming leaves. Her historical counterpart is the Three Kingdoms general Zhao Yun, inheriting the title "The Eternal Victorious." Renowned as a spearman among Liu Bei's five tiger generals, Zhao Yun was celebrated for single-handedly charging enemy lines and lost only one battle due to insufficient troops, dying at age 72 in 229 AD.
