Description
Muto, a young mercenary navigating a war-ravaged world, is thrust into a perilous mission after World War Three’s collapse. He saves Dr. Filicia Epstein, a scientist desperate to locate her brother Lyon, who disappeared while probing the enigmatic city of Oz—a rumored technological haven. Their alliance leads them to 1019, a male-modeled cybernoid prototype containing Lyon’s consciousness, its unstable identity fractured by opposing directives.
Tasked by Filicia’s father to eliminate Lyon and obliterate Oz, Muto uncovers the city’s origins as a militarized hub now governed by Lyon, who has merged with its AI system, Asura. The scientist threatens global annihilation via orbital weaponry if his life is endangered. Partnering with 1019 and comrade Nate, Muto infiltrates Oz to dismantle Lyon’s scheme to transfer his mind into a cloned vessel.
The confrontation spirals when a rogue cybernoid turns on Lyon, executing him for usurping its autonomy. Mortally wounded, Muto collapses in 1019’s grasp as Oz implodes. Six years later, Filicia unearths Muto miraculously alive within a cryogenic pod in the city’s wreckage—his survival shrouded in mystery.
Initially driven by profit, Muto gradually embraces Filicia’s cause as his own, while 1019’s evolving self-awareness challenges both to redefine their humanity. Though his revival remains unexplained and his future uncertain, Muto’s choices prove pivotal in halting Lyon’s genocidal reign, cementing his legacy within Oz’s ruins and the fragile bonds forged amid chaos.
