Description
Bud Bison, alias Gonta Ushijima in Japanese media, begins as a bully and devoted follower of Luna Platz, forming a trio with Zack Temple that frequently clashes with protagonist Geo Stelar. His hulking frame features blue spiky hair, a red nose, and an orange head protector, complemented by brown overalls over a yellow tank top adorned with fork-and-knife symbols. Behind his brash demeanor lies emotional vulnerability, fueling dependence on Luna and Zack.

Driven by a fear of abandonment after Luna threatens to dissolve their BrotherBand post-defeat, he submits to fusion with the FM-ian Taurus, becoming the EM Wave Human Taurus Fire. This bull-horned, armor-clad form wields flame breath and charged tackles, rampaging through Echo Ridge targeting red objects until Mega Man defeats him. Redeemed, he grows to idolize Mega Man, later discovering Geo’s identity and seeking alliance.

Evolving from antagonist to comedic ally, Bud faces amnesia in the second game, reinvented as "Budicus"—a faux deity revered by Whazzap Village until Mega Man restores his memory. The third game grants him controlled EM Wave Change via a Noise Card and Taurus as a Wizard partner, though clashes with Mega Man recur. A brief Satella Police stint ends as he resigns to safeguard Luna and Zack.

The anime highlights his loyalty-balanced independence, depicting forced Taurus fusion erasing his memories during transformations. The manga portrays his heroic aspirations: fusing with EM being Ox to rescue a puppy, nearly losing control before Rockman intervenes, then uniting with former rivals against the FM King.

As Taurus Fire, he commands fire-based attacks like Flame Tower and Ox Tackle, resists hypnosis, and draws power from food consumption via his Fire Tank ability. His bovine-themed names contrast fire abilities with Taurus’s earth symbolism.

Notable parallels include resembling *Mega Man Battle Network*’s Dex as a redeemed bully and appearing in *Lunar Knights* as Taurus Fire. His journey underscores loyalty, self-growth, and navigating strength alongside vulnerability.
