Description
Ryuichi Jinnai operates as a high-ranking member of the Haoukokuryu-kai, a yakuza syndicate contracted by corrupt industrialist Keiichi Suzuki to undermine the Government Crime Investigation Agency’s operations. Charged with safeguarding Suzuki’s interests, he systematically disrupts investigator Jotaro Zaizen’s efforts to expose political and corporate malfeasance.

Jinnai defies yakuza conventions through his scholarly passion for classical literature, notably Shakespeare, whose verses he strategically quotes during tense encounters. This cerebral flair intertwines with his criminality, creating a paradoxical persona. His professional clashes with Zaizen escalate into a fiercely personal rivalry, marked by calculated maneuvers and reluctant respect for their opposing tactical acumen.

A critical confrontation unfolds in episode 9, where Jinnai and Zaizen engage in a direct ideological duel. The clash lays bare their conflicting philosophies—Jinnai’s unwavering loyalty to his syndicate’s ambitions starkly contrasts Zaizen’s principled pursuit of justice, crystallizing their roles as foils in the battle against systemic corruption.
