Description
Lutecia Alpine, born in 0065 on Midchilda, is a human mage. Initially aligned with antagonist Jail Scaglietti during StrikerS, her actions were driven by his promise to revive her comatose mother, Megane Alpine, using collected Relics. She conducted Relic-hunting operations alongside allies Zest Grangeitz and Agito. Scaglietti manipulated her trust, labeling her and Zest as "Relic Weapon Experiments," while the Numbers cyborgs addressed her deferentially as "Lu-ojou-sama." Convinced to defect by Erio Mondial and Caro Ru Lushe during the final confrontation, she subsequently entered rehabilitation under a six-rank limiter. Post-conflict depictions show her living with her awakened mother on another planet, utilizing summons to communicate with Erio and Caro.
Her personality evolved significantly across media. In StrikerS and Sound Stage X, she exhibited a reserved, emotionally detached demeanor. However, four years after reuniting with her mother in ViVid, she transformed into an energetic, sociable individual. She constructed a large training facility on Carnaaji, hosted friends like Vivio Takamachi, and engaged in lighthearted teasing regarding Caro's height. She participated in team training battles, demonstrating tactical coordination and support capabilities. By ViVid, she identified as a TSAB Contract Mage and maintained contact with allies such as the Yagami family.
Lutecia's magical abilities focus on summoning and controlling insects via her Boost Device, Asclepius. Her summons encompass Garyu, Hakutenou, Jiraiou (capable of firing electrical beams), and small Insekten that manipulate inorganic matter like Gadget Drones. She also employs healing spells and barrier fields. Abducted by Scaglietti in infancy, she received a "circuit" implant capable of forcing her powers to berserk levels. Her original magic system, developed under Scaglietti, was later classified as Modern Belka. By ViVid, she utilized a Belkan-Midchildan hybrid system centered on pure magic combat and showcased new skills as a Device Meister, crafting Corona Timil's Intelligent Device Brunzel.
