TV-Series
Description
Erio Mondial is an artificial mage created by Project Fate to replace the original Erio Mondial, deceased in infancy. Born into Midchildan wealth, he learned of his cloned nature at age four, triggering parental abandonment and imprisonment within an illegal research facility. Years of experimentation inflicted profound physical and psychological trauma, manifesting as violent antisocial behavior even after his rescue by the Time-Space Administration Bureau (TSAB). Rehabilitation commenced at the TSAB's 01-24th Yurlis Home care center for magically-gifted children.

There, Fate Testarossa encountered Erio. He assaulted her with lightning magic, only for Fate to halt the attack barehanded, shattering his defiance. Fate, deemed too young for formal adoption, became his guardian through Lindy Harlaown. Erio spent five years at the facility, honing his magic and resolving to enlist in the TSAB armed forces. Despite Fate's initial objections, she ultimately accepted his decision. By StrikerS, he served as a private (3rd Ground Member) and B-rank ground mage.

Assigned to Riot Force 6's Forward Lightning unit under Fate's command with callsign "Lightning 03," Erio discovered the artificially created Vivio in an alley and secured Relics during the initial incident. He sustained injuries battling Deed while trying to prevent Lutecia's escape with Vivio. Training later with Signum, he replicated her techniques through observation. During the final conflict against Jail Scaglietti, he defeated the summon spirit Garyuu and rescued Fate from collapsing debris. Post-StrikerS, he transferred to the Frontier Nature Conservation Corps on Supools (61st-administered world), partnering with Caro Ru Lushe in wildlife conservation. Their relationship developed romantic undertones across continuities.

In Sound Stage X, Erio aided in apprehending poachers and joined the Mariage investigation, combating the autonomous weapons during the Marine Garden fire while Caro managed evacuations. By ViVid, his appearance matured, featuring a ponytail. He reunited with Fate, Nanoha Takamachi, and others during a Carnaaji trip, participating in a large-scale mock battle as Guard Wing for the Blue Team against Fate. He held his own against her but ultimately fell to Teana Lanster's Starlight Breaker.

During the Eclipse crisis in Force, Erio and Caro rejoined Hayate Yagami's Special Duty Section 6 (callsign "Riot 3"). He engaged DeVille of the Hückebein in close combat aboard their ship until weakened by the Zero Effect. Later, utilizing a Strike Cannon alongside Vita, he bombarded the vessel until Hayate deployed Heimdall, sustaining injuries from Curren Hückebein. He subsequently safeguarded AEC Armament transports and battled the Grendel family.

Erio employs the Modern Belka magic system augmented by Midchildan spells taught by Fate. His lightning-type Mana Conversion Affinity powers electricity-based magic and enables high-speed melee combat, suited to his Guard Wing role demanding rapid battlefield support. His primary device is the spear-shaped Strada, later supplemented by Strike Cannons and War Hammers in Force. His Barrier Jacket, "Lightning Style," prioritizes mobility over defense, visually echoing Fate's Impulse Form with a white overcoat and steel shoes. Spells include Luftmesser (wind blades), Purple Lightning Flash (electrified strikes), Sonic Move (high-speed movement), and Thunder Rage (binding/area lightning). His combat rank rose from B in StrikerS to AA post-series. He developed telepathic capabilities and learned to ride Caro's dragon, Friedrich.

Personality-wise, Erio exhibits a polite, solemn demeanor atypical for his age, coupled with a limited grasp of ordinary lifestyles. His drive for independence stems from concern over burdening Fate, though this inadvertently led her to perceive emotional distance. His partnership with Caro evolved into implied romance through shared missions and conservation work.
