Zagashira manages the Yuyama Troupe's finances and logistics as its accountant and manager. He previously served Kakunojo Yuyama's father in his shipping and wholesale business. During the Ansei Purges, when Hario attacked and torched the household, Zagashira saved the young Kakunojo from the flames. After this tragedy and the murder of Kakunojo's parents, he banded together with Kakunojo and Ebisu—an apprentice also scarred in the attack—to found their traveling theater troupe. As a founding member, Zagashira holds the position of "zagashira," signifying his role as the troupe's head. His responsibilities center on ensuring stability and advancing the group's objectives, including their pursuit of vengeance against Hario. The character's real name is never revealed.
