Description
Kimie Nakajima heads the Nakajima clan, one of the twelve martial arts families representing the Chinese zodiac's Horse. She is the grandmother of Sanae Nakajima and wields authority over the clan's traditions. Initially appearing as a strict landlady, she relentlessly pursues tenants Iroha Miyamoto and Hanzou for overdue rent, prompting their frequent attempts to flee.

She presents as a petite elderly woman with curly black hair, sharp black eyes, and a slightly puckered mouth, making her the series' shortest female character. In her youth, she was notably taller, surpassing even Unken Inuzuka, and bore a strong resemblance to her granddaughter Sanae, possessing long black hair usually worn in a single braid.

As a seasoned Horse Clan martial artist, Kimie trains Sanae using rigorous, unconventional methods. Knowing Sanae's combat power intensifies proportionally with her shame, Kimie deliberately engineers highly embarrassing situations to maximize her granddaughter's abilities. This includes enforcing the use of the clan's specialized battle outfit. This outfit functions as a power amplifier but resembles a bondage costume; its effectiveness increases when worn minimally, particularly the boots for kick-based combat. Kimie personally oversees Sanae's secret activities as the superhero "Uma Kamen" (Divine Punishment Warrior Horse Mask) as part of this combat development.

Kimie exhibits a forceful, uncompromising personality, frequently disregarding others' opinions to impose her decisions. This manifests in her attempts to arrange marriages for Sanae without consultation, driven by her belief that all Nakajima clan women inherently share her attraction to muscular men. She shows no hesitation in selecting suitors she deems suitable, reflecting her adherence to clan customs and determination to uphold martial traditions through lineage.

Her relationship with Sanae combines familial duty with martial mentorship, prioritizing combat efficacy over personal comfort. Her interactions with tenants Iroha and Hanzou highlight her sternness in financial matters, contrasting with her role as a guardian of one of the twelve zodiac families.
