Yuto, a contemporary boy visiting Qinghai, China, encounters the enigmatic Chunli, who materializes unexpectedly. Both groups hunt "The Statue of Snowman Buddha"—a legendary treasure tied to the priest Xuanzang and rumored to hold miraculous powers—using advanced time machines.

Caught in their conflict, Yuto is hurled involuntarily into the historical Silk Road era. Stranded there, he allies with Chunli to pursue Xuanzang’s treasure.
