Description
Hitto Tamaga is the central protagonist of both the *Crash B-Daman* anime and manga. He is the son of the missing B-Daman researcher, Dr. Tamaga. Living alone in a hut on his relatives' land at age eleven, he maintains persistent optimism despite misfortune and loneliness. His cousin Nana Sendo cares for him and shares his only birthday celebration.
Hitto possesses spiky black hair with five prominent red streaks, orange eyes, and a signature blue-and-yellow headband. His hairpin features two pearl-like beads resembling B-Dama marbles. He typically wears a red t-shirt, white vest, red gloves with white pads, tan shorts, a brown utility belt, and white shoes with red and yellow accents. A scar marks his right cheek, earned catching a magpie thief mid-air in the manga.
His personality blends unwavering positivity, resilience, and occasional clumsiness. He frequently apologizes for accidents but lives by his father's motto, "Overcome the difficulties." Though an amateur B-Der initially, he battles with passionate determination and strong loyalty to his father and Nana. The manga adds "Super Sight" – extraordinary visual acuity he uses to find lost village items for rewards – and depicts courage "unmindful of death."
His journey starts when he receives the B-Daman Magnum Ifrit, crafted by his missing father, for his eleventh birthday. In the anime, he enters tournaments like the B-1 Crash Cup and World Crash Grandprix. He improves his skills, forges rivalries and friendships, uncovers conspiracies involving Saionji Konzern, becomes one of the Seven Legendary B-Ders, uses the upgraded Justice Ifrit to combat war weapons, and ultimately reunites with his father.
The manga diverges: after his father's kidnapping by Evil Gods, Hitto enters their tournament to rescue him. He discovers he is the organization's true successor, marked by crests on his limbs and forehead. His battles involve confronting assassins like Kodoh Kuraki, culminating in the Evil Gods castle's collapse and reunion with his father.
Notable details include his August 10 birthday and use of specialized marbles: standard red marbles, green-tinted "B-Chim" marbles, Rainbow Stone Island's "Prayer Stones," lifesaving green marbles from his hairpin, and.97 Caliber Grenade Shots as finishers. The manga uniquely depicts him wielding three B-Damans simultaneously.
