Description
Lynchman races in Redline alongside his partner Johnnyboya, forming the daredevil bounty hunter and mercenary team known as the Mad Brothers. Their galactic reputation includes the titles Heroes of Alsatia and the Strongest and Fastest Bounty Hunters. Lynchman holds a grudge against Machine Head stemming from a prior defeat in an earlier Redline event and considers Psychoman an arch-nemesis after encounters during Planet Dorothy's Yellowline race.
Physically tall and thin, matching Johnnyboya's build, Lynchman wears distinctive two-tone body armor and a full-face mask. The mask features multiple horns and a skull-and-crossbones design on the forehead, leaving only his mouth and lower nose exposed. Maroon coloring covers the mask, hands, torso, and cape, while the remaining sections are metallic silver. This armor provides ballistic protection, deflecting bullets and physical impacts as demonstrated in Zone 7X. Lynchman exhibits exceptional physical capabilities, including running at speeds comparable to his vehicle during that same incident.
His personality is chaotic and aggressive. He visibly enjoys causing disruption or harm, frequently grinning or smiling during confrontations, extending to threatening and attacking competitors during races. Professional incentives drive his actions; as a bounty hunter, he accepts assignments based on financial gain, exemplified by agreeing to sabotage Roboworld's Hyper Disintegrator Cannon for the Redline committee. The potential payout from winning Redline, described as sufficient to "buy out a couple planets," serves as a primary motivator for his participation.
Within the Redline 8 narrative, Lynchman and Johnnyboya are hired specifically to disable the Orbital Disintegration Cannon. Their successful sabotage prevents the cannon's immediate deployment against the Redline mothership, directly enabling the race to proceed despite Roboworld's military opposition. Lynchman also operates a movie company, subtly referenced as the Lynchman Movie Company in promotional material advertising a "Best Fights Series" (or "Best Brawls of Lynchman" in some translations), indicating ancillary entrepreneurial activities beyond bounty hunting and racing.
