Description
Kyousuke Munakata, a celebrated actor with a carefully crafted image of charisma and flirtation, conceals a turbulent private life beneath his polished exterior. At 14, he assumed guardianship of Mira Munakata, presented publicly as his son, following a youthful consensual relationship with his older sister, Mitsuki Utsunomiya, whose subsequent pregnancy led her to prioritize her Hollywood aspirations. Motivated by a desire to safeguard both Mitsuki’s career and Mira’s upbringing, Kyousuke embraced parenthood despite societal judgment and emotional strain.

His relationship with Mira gradually shifts into a clandestine romantic entanglement, fraught with secrecy and moral ambiguity. Kyousuke oscillates between calculated manipulation—staging infidelities to stoke Mira’s attachment—and earnest displays of devotion, masking his insecurities with possessive behavior even as he strives to affirm their bond.

A turning point arises when Mira uncovers adoption documents revealing Kyousuke’s true identity as his uncle. Kyousuke discloses their shared history, detailing Mitsuki’s choice to surrender parental rights, yet defiantly upholds his role in Mira’s life, resisting societal norms and Mitsuki’s later proposal to reintegrate into their family.

Expanded narratives in light novels introduce Ryousuke Munakata, Kyousuke’s cousin, as Mira’s biological father—a detail omitted in the OVA adaptation. External challenges, including advances from figures like Takayuki Utsunomiya (Mitsuki’s son), test Kyousuke’s resolve. His actions consistently prioritize Mira’s stability, intertwining protective instincts with emotional vulnerability and a refusal to conform to conventional boundaries.
