Description
Neo Lorrnoke is the identity assumed by Mu La Flaga after his apparent death and brainwashing. Mu La Flaga began as a Natural mobile armor ace in the Earth Alliance military. His exceptional spatial awareness and piloting skills earned him the moniker "Hawk of Endymion" for destroying five ZGMF-1017 GINN mobile suits using the complex wire-guided gunbarrels of the TS-MA2mod.00 Moebius Zero during the Battle of Endymion Crater. He later served as a lieutenant aboard the assault ship Archangel in the First Alliance-PLANT War, mentoring Coordinator pilot Kira Yamato and developing a close relationship with Captain Murrue Ramius. Mu possessed an extrasensory perception link with Rau Le Creuset, revealed as his genetic clone sibling created by his father, Al Da Flaga.

Mu seemingly perished piloting the GAT-X105 Strike Gundam to shield the Archangel's bridge from the Dominion's "Lohengrin" positron cannon. LOGOS recovered his body, subjected him to brainwashing, memory alteration, and reconstructive surgery, erasing his identity. He reemerged in the subsequent conflict as Neo Roanoke (also spelled Neo Lorrnoke), a masked commander leading the Earth Alliance's elite Phantom Pain unit under Lord Djibril. As Neo, he exhibited a colder, manipulative personality, directly commanding the psychologically unstable Extended pilots Sting Oakley, Stella Loussier, and Auel Neider aboard the stealth ship Girty Lue. Though occasionally showing sympathy towards the Extended, Neo frequently deceived them to ensure combat effectiveness, including breaking promises to Shinn Asuka regarding Stella and authorizing memory wipes.

Neo initially piloted the TS-MA4F Exus mobile armor in space and a distinctively purple GAT-04 Windam on Earth. Combat revealed an extrasensory link with Rey Za Burrel, reminiscent of Mu's link with Rau, and a one-sided connection noted by Kira Yamato. Injured during the Battle of Berlin, Neo was captured by the Archangel crew. Physical data scans confirmed a 100% match with Mu La Flaga, though Neo denied any connection. Exposure to the ship and crew triggered fragmented memories and subconscious familiarity, including knowledge of the Archangel's internal transmission codes and combat déjà vu. Murrue Ramius provided him with an FX-550 Skygrasper to depart. During the Second Battle of Orb, Neo returned to defend the Archangel against the ZAFT ship Minerva, instinctively repeating Mu's phrase, "I can make the impossible possible." After an emergency landing mirroring Mu's past actions, Neo confided his identity confusion to Murrue and requested to remain onboard, subsequently joining Orb's military forces.

Cagalli Yula Athha entrusted Neo with the ORB-01 Akatsuki Gundam before the Archangel departed for space. A pivotal memory recovery occurred during the assault on Messiah. Piloting the Akatsuki, he intercepted the Minerva's "Tannhäuser" positron cannon blast aimed at the Archangel. The Akatsuki's reflective "Yata-no-Kagami" armor withstood the impact, and this act—mirroring his sacrifice with the Strike Gundam—triggered the full restoration of his memories as Mu La Flaga. Flashbacks revealed his recovery by LOGOS surgeons and Lord Djibril. Upon regaining his identity, Mu explicitly confirmed his return to Murrue Ramius. He then participated in neutralizing the Requiem superweapon alongside Athrun Zala to prevent its firing on Orb. Following the Messiah conflict, Mu remained with the Archangel crew.
