Description
Garorii is a young male of mixed human and Crest heritage, born into a universe defined by three centuries of conflict between their peoples. He served aboard the spaceship Tetraskelion when it responded to a distress signal, only to be ambushed and nearly destroyed by automated attack ships from a larger Crest vessel commanded by a Type-38 automaton. This assault left Garorii and the cyborg Nikolai as the bridge crew's sole initial survivors.
In the aftermath, Garorii spearheaded the awakening of Althea, a Crest female held in suspended animation on the Tetraskelion. He recognized her potential value against the automaton threat, acting despite the deep-seated enmity between their species. Infiltrating the hostile Crest ship, Garorii operates as part of a trio with Nikolai and Althea, tasked with locating survivors from an earlier advance party and destroying the Type-38 automaton core.
During this perilous mission, Garorii engages in extended conversations with Althea, including moments where they pause their urgent objectives to sit and talk. These interactions represent attempts to bridge the species divide, though the dialogue itself is noted as occasionally stilted. His relationship with Nikolai begins under strain, marked by the cyborg's harsh and standoffish demeanor. Over time, Nikolai's attitude shifts towards a protective stance concerning both Garorii and Althea, though specific incidents driving this change remain undepicted.
