Description
Himeko Shirogane is a 13-year-old wealthy student who attends the same middle school as the main superhero team. Her ordinary life shifts when exposure to a black Chemical Z light, triggered by the screech of her cat Sapphire, awakens her alter-ego, Princess. This transformation alters her appearance, replacing her orange coiled pigtails with a red puffy afro, her red eyes with yellow spirals, and her purple dress and crown with black tights. She retains no memory of events that occur while transformed.

Driven by a deep desire for attention and recognition stemming from familial neglect, Himeko feels overshadowed by her accomplished older sister, Miko Shirogane. Her parents' consistent favoritism fuels her jealousy and sense of inadequacy, which in turn sparks her initial hostility toward the superhero team—whom she views as rivals for the admiration she craves. Though she grows somewhat friendlier over time, she remains prone to attempts at sabotaging their reputation, even in her human form.

As Princess, her powers reflect her longing to be noticed: she can fly, wield enhanced strength, and conjure objects such as a rocket launcher, a diamond claw, or large sums of money seemingly from nowhere. She once demonstrated the ability to breathe in space. These abilities are situational and not permanent. She often constructs massive weapons or robots to assert her superiority.

Her relationship with her cat Sapphire is central to her story; the animal is both a cherished companion and the unintentional trigger of her monstrous transformations. She is accompanied by two friends who serve as an entourage, frequently offering compliments and flattery.

A recurring gag involves her defeats, after which the superhero team captures her in a giant purse. Throughout the series, she undergoes gradual development, evolving from a purely antagonistic figure into one with occasional redeeming qualities, including genuine concern for others and displays of kindness toward her sister and pet.

The character draws inspiration from the Western version of Princess Morbucks but was adapted for the anime with a more sympathetic background and a divided characterization between herself and her sister.
