TV-Series
Description
Momoko Akatsutsumi is a 13-14 year old junior high student living in Tokyo City with her parents, Hachizou and Kakiko Akatsutsumi, and her younger sister, Kuriko. As the eldest daughter, she sometimes assists with household tasks like preparing lunchboxes.

Her distinctive appearance features ginger hair typically worn in an extremely long ponytail secured by a red bow, reaching near her feet when unbound. She has pink eyes and light skin. In civilian attire, she favors pink and red shades, often wearing short-sleeved tops with heart motifs, navy skirts, and fuchsia sneakers with white ankle socks. A sideways white belt with gold buckles and PPGZ insignia serves as her transformation device. Transformed into Hyper Blossom, she wears a crimson spaghetti-strap dress with a matching light vest, black gloves, pink-and-white boots, and retains the signature belt.

Momoko blends energetic leadership aspirations with notable ditzy tendencies. She exhibits a faddish nature, enthusiastically follows trends, and displays attention-seeking behavior. A self-proclaimed hero fanatic, she frequently references Super Sentai series and possesses genre savviness regarding magical girl tropes. Defining traits include an immense love for sweets—especially octopus sausages and apples—and intense romantic fantasies about boys, though her advances usually result in immediate rejection followed by quick recovery. She fears ghosts, insects, and green vegetables, while demonstrating craftiness and manipulative abilities like crying on command.

Her superhero origin occurred when she shielded a child from a white Chemical Z ray in a park, triggering her transformation into Hyper Blossom and granting her a yo-yo weapon. This event bestowed standard powers of super strength, super speed, and flight, accessible only when transformed. As the self-designated leader of the Powerpuff Girls Z team, she fights with her yo-yo, naming attacks after confectionery like "Strawberry Big Luck Spin", "Almond Jelly Shoot", and "Blossom Finish". A significant power development occurs in Episode 46 when she demonstrates heightened capabilities via the "Gigantic Electric Shock Yo-Yo" technique.

Key relationships include competitive friction with Princess/Himeko Shirogane that evolves into complex adversarial interactions. Surprisingly, she shares common ground with Mojo Jojo, including snack-eating habits and mutual dental phobia. Within her hero team, she collaborates with Miyako (Rolling Bubbles) and Kaoru (Powered Buttercup), though her leadership claims face frequent dismissal. Familial bonds involve typical sibling exchanges with Kuriko and parental interactions reflecting an ordinary home life.

Notable trivia includes her theme song "Look" by Halcali, her representation through heart symbols, and the meaning of her surname containing the kanji for "red" (赤) and "embankment" (堤). She maintains exceptionally long hair throughout the series, a trait shared with her sister. Her future aspiration involves marriage.
