Akira Kandori is a powerfully built female martial artist with short hair, serving as a lethal enforcer for Jotoh Academy. Her mission targets Rina Takaoka for perceived betrayal. Kandori's combat style centers on judo, featuring devastating throws and grapples like Mountain Storm, Thunder Mountain Storm, Tomoe-nage, and Waterfall, designed to inflict damage through slams and repositioning. She also employs the Counter: Steel Body Technique, a forward-moving maneuver involving choking and slamming opponents.

Trained in youth by Masaaki Yanagisawa, Kandori achieved the title of All Japan Judo Champion. However, their paths diverged due to conflicting martial arts philosophies. Kandori became obsessed with attaining invincibility and supreme strength, embracing Jotoh Academy's lethal methods. This pursuit transformed her previously kind-hearted nature into aggressive ambition, leading some to speculate she was "possessed by a demon."

Within the OVA narrative, Kandori kidnaps Rina to lure Natsuki Kisumi into battle. She overpowers Natsuki initially, showcasing superior judo skills, prompting Yanagisawa's intervention. Kandori later confronts them at their school, defeating Rina and multiple bystanders to assert dominance. Her central conflict emerges during the climactic fight with Natsuki: Kandori champions victory through any means, including killing, rejecting Yanagisawa and Natsuki's view of martial arts as self-improvement and protection. This clash culminates in her defeat when Natsuki counters her ultimate technique.

Following her loss, Kandori retreats, her obsession with strength undiminished. Jotoh Academy's leadership still considers her one of their strongest fighters and implies she remains active within their ranks.
