Description
Nanaho Kinjo holds one of the student council’s vice president positions and commands the Assault Squad, employing a specialized yo-yo as her primary weapon. She displays a stern, action-driven demeanor, prone to impulsiveness and a short temper, consistently preferring direct solutions to deliberation. Thunderstorms trigger visible flinching and high-pitched exclamations, exposing a pronounced fear of lightning that starkly contradicts her otherwise tough exterior. Despite her tomboyish image, she secretly collects stuffed animals and traditionally "girlish" items—a hobby causing intense embarrassment if revealed. Her private room’s decor mirrors this concealed interest, creating a sharp juxtaposition against her public persona.

Her history involves a complex, longstanding dynamic with student council president Kanade Jinguuji. The Kinjo family’s generational duty bound them to protect the Jinguuji lineage, compelling Nanaho’s rigorous childhood training as a guardian. This obligation initially bred resentment toward Kanade. A pivotal shift occurred when Kanade released Nanaho from her duties, granting freedom. This act replaced resentment with authentic loyalty, leading Nanaho to voluntarily dedicate herself to Kanade’s protection and to upholding Miyagami Academy as a student sanctuary. She vowed to support Kanade’s eventual liberation from the Jinguuji conglomerate. Nanaho is the youngest of seven Kinjo siblings.

Within the student council, Nanaho exhibits growth in leadership and relationships. She sustains a friendly rivalry with fellow vice president Kuon Ginga, leader of the Covert Squad, marked by frequent clashes in methodology and verbal sparring. Despite friction, Nanaho shows underlying concern for Kuon, notably when Kuon’s corporate espionage jeopardizes her council standing. Nanaho intervenes to shield Kuon from an attack by council member Kotoha, demonstrating protectiveness rooted in shared loyalty to Kanade. Her allegiance extends to other members like Rino Rando, though she initially doubted the sentience of Rino’s puppet, Pucchan. After impulsively throwing Pucchan from a window, she displays visible distress upon believing it destroyed, revealing latent care beneath her abrasive exterior.
