After slaves freed by the wizard Sparrowhawk escape his custody, Lièvre reports to Cob and narrowly avoids severe punishment by deflecting blame. Cob then commands Lièvre to capture Sparrowhawk. In response, Lièvre and his men abduct Sparrowhawk's associate Tenar as bait, leaving her ward Therru bound as a messenger. Lièvre's role remains confined to these functional antagonistic activities in service to Cob's objectives, without significant development, expanded backstory, or further narrative presence in other official media.
